Let’s talk Utah Fall — it’s a season for a reason. In Utah, fall only lasts about 3 weeks (more like two if you want the PERFECT mix of colors). After doing photography for so long, I now know it is very worth getting the backdrop, colors, and everything you want in a photo based off of timing of the year.

I understand when it’s the winter, and your family is around only during Christmas, or you plan to get married during the colder, rainier times of the year, that you have no option. If I can plead to my other clientelle out there--plan your photos! Plan the timing, and keep in mind the feel you want.

So I would dare say Fall is at an end here in Utah and Christmas is around the corner. I’m booking shoots at 3:30pm in the afternoon because the sun goes down here so late! It is so worth it though. I did a photoshoot in a favorite location in Holladay and booked it at 4:00pm and by the time 5:00pm rolled around, I had decided we could have bumped it up to 3:30pm. So crazy and so worth it.

Worried about the timing and lighting? Just message me and I’ll give you some recommendations!
